roamingyak
On my 110 Hardtop I have a lot of old expedition equipment, old military equipment and so forth that I want to remove - but am not sure how to fill in the remaining holes. Most are on vertical side and rear panels. They range from 5mm to 55mm give or take, most circular. What would be the A. best way to patch them B. a way to patch them up if your a bloke in a field with limited knowledge I appreciate I'll need to get them painted after patching them up... Thanks in advance! Edited August 16, 2018 by roamingyak
Eightpot
If you can get behind them, a fibreglass patch and resin to patch the hole, when it's set a bit of body filler to finish off.
daveturnbull
I've done a load of similar holes in my tub. I cut patches from a scrap panel and bonded them on behind with PU adhesive. For the larger ones I also cut a filler piece to go in the hole. When the adhesive had dried just a quick splodge of body filler and a rub down. DC_
I bought a mixed rubber grommet set and filled a good few on mine. I suppose it comes down to how tidy you want the truck to look. 😎
roamingyak
I can get to both sides of most of them at the moment.... If its not too much trouble it would be great if you kindly link to items mentioned such as fibreglass patchs, resin, body filler and PU adhesive as I'm sure there are many different kinds and I have no idea about any of them (and my Portuguese is not great, plus many items for sale here are low quality/cheap so I like to order from the UK or find the same products locally. I have an account with frost.co.uk so any links there I'd appreciate even more 😉https://www.frost.co.uk/autobody-blasting/automotive-fibre-glass-tools.html
