soutie
I have a 1989 110. I have bought a Sealey 2.5L Brake & Clutch Bleeding System, Model No. VS820. The cap size is 45MM which fits the brake Master cylinder reservoir, but not the clutch master cylinder. In my bin corner I have two old master cylinder which are scrap which the 45mm pressure bleeder cap fits, but not the one on my vehicle. Which of the following master cylinder will have a 45Mm cap that will fit the pressure bleeder? Or what pressure bleeder cap fits the part no. 550732? steve b
550732 is just the early numbering version of STC500100(G) - the MC is the same part for S3 all the way to 2006 . The bleeder cap fit is not as good as the brake res. fit, but mine will screw on and seal with a bit of effort. I use TRW OEM parts. soutie
Steve Thanks for reply. I will try the TRW part. Peter
soutie
Steve, I bought the TRW master cylinder and in removing the old one managed to twist up the pipe to master cylinder. I decided to replace it with a flexible pipe one piece pipe to the slave cylinder and remote bleed pipe. I still could not get the bleeding system to pressurise even with the new master cylinder, so used my vacuum bleeding system and all bled in 5 minutes. steve b
Glad you got it sorted, the remote bleed and flexi's look very tidy . In fact it all looks very well put together and good colour choice too Steve

soutie
Western, I got them made up by Pioneer 4x4 in Cullumpton. Looks like there are now a couple of options as to suppliers.
soutie
Credit must go to Western here as it was his thread that prompted me to ask Pioneer 4x4 if they did a remote bleed line. I am forever grateful as I now have a clutch that I have successfully bled after trying for some many months unsuccessfully.
