I've just had an email from my mate. it turns out he's installing an international 2.8 into a disco (he sells the 2.8's in canada) and they want to install a LR lift pump onto the side of the 2.8 block (the castings are all there for it).

so they needed to know the pressure. nothing shown in my rave.

Never seen any detailed pressure info for any LR lift pump in RAVE or workshop manual.

What's going on... Western has failed :o;)

Taken from the LR Workshop manual

FUEL SYSTEM -

300 Tdi Fuel lift pump type Mechanical with hand primer

Fuel lift pump pressure 42 - 55 kpa at 1800 rpm

Fuel filter Paper element in disposable canister

In PSI it's between 6.53 and 7.977

Thought I'd let someone else have a go.

RAVE says

Fuel lift pump pressure 42 to 55 kgf/cm3 or 3 to 4 psi @1800 rpm, check your info again :D

GTR is basically RAVE for Land Rover technicians, its mostly used for dealership service techs to distribute the latest specs or service procedure alterations, but also includes detailed tech info on most of the systems on modern Land Rovers, such as DSC, ARC/ARM etc. Ask Mr Bogmonster nicely and maybe he'll let you play with his

Porny, which department do you work in? I've got a feeling I might walk past you everyday and not know who you are

Does it tell you how to test a viscous fan? I find it very annoying that they don't issue some sort of temperature/torque spec.
