LR90
Neighbours in the throws of having his TD4 lift pump replaced under warrantee, not sure what was wrong but he spoke of metal swarfe. Are there any known issues/weaknesses with these pumps or is he just unlucky?
BogMonster
They all P&&s fuel out here after about a year on every single vehicle, but LR claim it is to do with the fuel here and not a pump fault. I don't think they have a reputation for great reliability though...
LR90
Cheers BogMonster. That's sounds rather like his dealers comments that suggested he's been running the TD4 on petrol.

DEANO3528
Good point, so how do you take steps yourself? Short of 50/50 cooking oil maybe a few litres in every tankful?
jules
Millers addatives I have heard of loads of Td4 pumps going but I never suffered from that problem but mine only had the main pump the tank pump was removed before I go it and it raced with the main pump quit happily.
