swampandy
Hi I'm new to this so I'm looking for any advice on whether this is easy and straightforward and any likely problems that may arise. Any help will be appreciated.

Les Henson
C-reg 90 would have been 2.5 wouldn't it? I know the real early ones were 2.25, but thought it was only diesels. Confused of Swindon.
swampandy
Is the lightweight already a 2.25 petrol or what? A bit of info would help Yes the lightweight is already a 2.25 petrol, five bearing and standard as far as i can tell. The gearbox is standard with both 4 wheel drive and low ratio levers. I'm not getting the box from the 90 since that is a permanent four wheel drive. I believe that the engine is a 2.25 although one of the responses I've got says that the 90's all had the 2.5. I'll try and find out from the guy who's selling it exactly what it is.
Phil Hancock
Just ask for the engine number and then refer to the following 10J 2.25 diesel 5 bearing 11A 2.4 VM TURBO D 11J 2.5 N/A DIESEL MOD 11L 2.5 TDI DIESEL (200TDI) 17H 2.5 PETROL 12J 2.5 DIESEL N/A 12L 2.5 TDI (DISCOVERY) 14J 2.5 DIESEL FREIGHT ROVER 15H 2.5 DIESEL CARBODIES (LONDON CAB) 15J 2.5 DIESEL FREIGHT ROVER 19J 2.5 TURBO DIESEL 90/110 22J 2.5 TURBO DIESEL FREIGHT ROVER By the way it was only 110's that had a 2.25p or 2.25d, when the 90 was introduced it came with the 2.5p or nad which the 110 also changed to at the same time.
