chrisoleary
It's true the Freelander is just like the defender. I got in mine this morning to find a puddle of water on the seat. Rain must be like the blood running through their veins.

bill van snorkle
A client once accidently slammed the door of his Defender on my fingers between the bottom of the door and the door jamb. the door was fully closed on the main catch I felt a sligh twinge of pain and we both thought that I surely would have suffered some serious injury until without reopening the door I was able the thread my fingers out with nary a scratch or further pain. I could imagine a small kitten getting out through there. Bill.
DEANO3528
I think the Defender will be in trouble! I'm reliably informed that the new Tranny lump used in new Def's, is so bad some are already on their fourth engine under warranty!

Blimey, they have only been out for a month or so, four engines in as many weeks is going some
DEANO3528
Sorry I phrased that wrong, the Trannies are dying in their droves is what I meant.

For a short time there I was even more glad to have plumped for a 300Tdi than normal Doesn't sound good though

Er, this is the Freelander forum on a thread about water leaks! Sorry for the intrusion gents. This weakness was already well known in the Transit world of commercial vehicle operation well before 2007 Pretenders came along.
