This doesn't mean that the V8 and Tdi have the same ratios of course, just that they are not in the manual. It is also shy about the LT230 xfer box ratios: they may all be that standard Disco box. JimAttrill Posted July 6, 2007 Share Posted July 6, 2007 I have a feeling the main gearbox ratios are the same. The Mpi might use the Defender 1.4:1 transfer box or even the 1.6:1 box as used in the BMW engined 2.8i Defenders made here in SA. It is annoying not to be able to find out.
