Ivan
Sounds like there is a problem with the SRS. Only cure is to plug it in to testbook and find out what's wrong. Ivan
BogMonster
The most likely cause is failure of the rotary coupler cassette in the steering wheel, this is not an uncommon problem and is very expensive to fix i.e. a couple of hundred pounds for the part. It is quite easy to change one though, half an hour should see the job done just remember to use the proper procedures as per the workshop manual just to make sure you don't get a face full of airbag. Cheap nylon jumpers are a bad choice of clothing for example You will still need a diagnostic computer to verify this though, and once it has been repaired you will need to plug it in again to clear the fault code, SRS faults don't self-clear after x number of drive cycles like some other systems.
