Ian M Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Ive been having handbrake problems for a while now, ive found, behind the seat box, behind the lever, my cable is free to move, its not fastened or held by the bracket that bolts to the back of the handbrake lever, how should the cable be held? western Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 on the gearbox side of the seatbox is a plate that screws onto the end of the cable, item 19 in this diagram. lift the centre seat base/cubby box & cover panel you'll see it on the back of the handbrake location. Quote
JST Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 i had this problem, you need that rear bracket as you cant take out all the slack with out it, you can get by by packing it out though but its only half a bodge! Quote

western Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 as I said above the handbrake end of the cable is meant to be screwed into that bracket sounds like your cable has pulled out due to being over adjusted, a new cable will cure it. Quote
