landrover598
I'm going to move the engine back a few inches (maybe a foot) in my new project disco, so whats the best way to cut'n'shut and lengthen the props ? Do they have to be 100% ballanced (on a non road going, off road vehicle) I was thinking of sleaving them on the inside, with a few welds through the tube into the sleave and around the join Any other ideas from a grown up please ? Mark90
Dave are you keeping the 100" wheel base? If so move it back 10" (IIRC) and you can swap the props front to back. This has been a common mod in comp safari circles for many years.
dollythelw
I could ask my mother in law to wash them for you Dave - she can shrink anything with her washing machine from hell
FridgeFreezer
@ Jez The front-to-rear swap is a good one, Mike's Tomcat is done this way.
