white90
The index on MM says height in feet. I'll go and look again
Troddenmasses
Contour lines are at 10 metre vertical intervals, and spot heights are at the nearest metre above mean sea level.

SiWhite
Yup, metres. Interesting bit of contour lines trivia - they are invisible when viewed under red light. This is the stock excuse when asked why the Army walk up so many hills at night......
Guest WALFY
But you can get red light readable maps so you can see the contours. But we'll still keep walking up hills cos it's character building stuff
Bull Bar Cowboy
Tony, Its because you have MM set to statue (Miles), so it measures in Miles & feet………. However, the OS maps are metric and the contours will be metres, but if you do a 3D or fly through then MM will convert your height to feet, but this info is gained form a separate database…….. If you have other maps than OS (for example, I have a load of IGN French maps) then you can always check what the map base datum’s are by going to ‘Map – Edit Map Properties’ Ian
