Some help please,When refiting the Auxiliary Mounting Bracket P-Gasket,Would you use Hylomar or the like, to be on the safe side,or nothing?? Les Henson Posted January 2, 2008 Share Posted January 2, 2008 I put a thin film of rtv sealant on both sides of the gasket - not because the gasket itself is weak, but the alloy housing might be slightly warped or pitted from the water leak, Les. Exmoor Beast Posted January 3, 2008 Share Posted January 3, 2008 I did mine recently and got it all back together without sealant only to find it leaked a bit darn it. stripped it all back, added a tickle of sealant and all is well Good luck.
