draper40
Hey, Someone on this froum is selling a pair of range rover seats and i would like to know if they will fit in my 1985 land rover 90? draper40
Anyone tried or know that they won't?
malpasman
I think landrover 598 used range rover seats in his 100" TDI project defender. The seat box will need redrilling and the passengers seat will not tip to get at the battery. You may be able to mount the seat frame on some checker plate, hinge it at the front and a latch at the rear.

kevin
It's ok if your short, i had a set of leather ones in my 110csw they didn't last long looked good but overall were junk (to long in the base and to high in the seat).
landrover598
Indeed, i've got rangy seats in my defender, very comfy, and not that squashed in even at 6ft. They bolt stright on, with a few new holes drilled in the box. Only problem is getting to the battery. However using the rear seats with the hinges looks to work well. draper40
How did you solve the battery problem?
landrover598
I've got jump leads wired in via an anderson plug, and can disconnect the batery via an isolating switch. If i need to remove the batey, 4 small bolts and the whole seat comes out.
draper40
So I've got a choice: Back seats- Can acess battery eaiser, seat's 3 but I don't think can adjust. Front seats - Battery harder to get at but can adjust and probably comfier!! Peter
draper40
Thanks for the advice, have now sucesfully reat a set of rear leather seats in the front. I now have a pair of fully working-electronically controlled front grey leather seats in good nic. I am not sure wheter to sell them or if it is possibly to fabricate a mounting bracket and mount them in the rear? Any ideas?
