gelf Posted February 10, 2008 Share Posted February 10, 2008 has anybody ever fitted a or know if its reasonably easy to fit a 2.5 petrol with a LT77 box into a lightweight....... my mates box is wrecked and i have the above lying on the floor but it needs to be a easyish swap..... any ideas? Think you'll have to put in new gearbox mounts and find a shorter rear prop. Gearbox tunnel will need a load of mods. You'll also end up with permanent four wheel drive which the front axle isn't really built for. Ashcrofts do an adaptor to fit an LT77 to the series transfer box which may make life a bit easier. MECCANO Posted February 11, 2008 Share Posted February 11, 2008 I currently have an lt77 and 2.25 in my lwt... Far from a straight swap. Requires a fair bit of work to fit, and not cheap either.
