TD5 Remap?

I have contacted a chap I know about possibly tinkering with the mapping on my TD5 and this was his response for a modest remap without going wild. Have any of you tried this? what were the results and does anyone know of obvious disadvantages??

I guess the drivetrain etc should be well up to the little extra power because petrol V8's are a lot more powerful anyway. It seems like a no brainer to me.

Cheers

"With regards to the TD5 I have remapped many of these, there a several different levels of mapping available for this vehicle. Personally I would recommend 35bhp, 70nm torque, this will liven up the vehicle and with these increases in power you should see around 3mpg improvement and with all the price increases on fuel every mile counts."

Not sure where you're based but I can highly recommend TD5 Alive up in Grimsby. Having had my wifes' Disco re-mapped by him I can say that he really knows his stuff. There are also many very impressed customers of his in the Discovery Owners Club. TD5 Alive

There is a company in Ireland, Auto-tune, who do a TD5 remap to 370 Nm and 174 BHP. Is this a reasonable level? I'm interested in increased fuel economy and a little extra umph, when required. It's a EPROM remap, rather than an overide-type chip. They are not specialised in LR, but do a big list of cars
