Bench seat fixing??

ok have bought a rear bench seat from paddocks and it cam ewith no instructions.. have some pics below which so a metal bracket which i have no idea where they go... any help appreciated

The Tabs should fit into the slots you can see at waist height (Just below where your hardtop joins)

Fasten them on & place the seat in position on the wheelbox.

You should see the slots I mean.

You have them in roughly the right position in the first photo.

so they like hook under the lip before the side panel??

fits to the frame upright where the 2 holes.

fix the clip item 5 with items 6 & 7 & 8 on this parts page, then it hooks under the plate on the body sill.

thanks western, very useful diagram. what would people suggest for bolting a rectractable lap strap in place... bolt to the seat??

They need to be bolted to somthing solid (the Army ones have a steal braket that bolts behind the seats in the round shape of the body. If you dont use that then you will need a large spreader under the alumidium wheel arch box to give it the strength needed to not pull a hole in the aluminium in the event of an accident.

seat base is not strong enough, bolt through the wheelbox with a 2 or 3mm thick spreader plate on the underside.
