rhydgte
Hi all sorry if this is in the wrong place, have just bought a 1998 R 300TDi Disco, to prep for off-roading and to use as a general runaround! I am not completely new to the Land Rover world, as my dad has had numerous ones, and he currently owns two discovery's, all of which I've done a lot of work on over the years. Couple of niggling problems with mine I hope you guys can help out with.. Intermittent brake light flashing on dash Handbrake won't stay up sometimes Cheers Rhyd
BogMonster
The light is probably low brake fluid warning? Do you mean the ratchet mechanism on the handbrake is not holding properly?
tuko
"Intermittent brake light flashing on dash" is "low brake fluid warning" because of worn pads. Usually the fronts go first, so I'd replace those and see if it stops the flashing warning light. (we had the very same symptom with our Disco) Cheers, Todd. The two problems may well be related. I'm pretty sure i've read something about Disco handbrakes missbehaving in this way.
