SW Rear door

Hi all

I'm thinking about change the rear door to my 110,

maybe exists a double piece rear door, lower part like pick up's one and upper one openable alone?

Any reference where to buy the set or the upper one? or mine is just a dream??

can you not just cut the door in half and make one....? Do you mean like a swing open top half or lift up....?

you will need the hinge brackets on the rear face of the rear cross member for the drop tailgate to hinge in. for the upper door use a Series LR part if you can find one.

the parts diagrams might help.

[1st diagram]

orange = cable retained tailgate & fittings

green = chain retained tailgate & fittings [these are Series LR parts]

[2nd diagram]

the chassis part of the lower tailgate hinges are marked orange

Yep, I've seen 110's over here with them fitted, make sure you get the top door complete with the hinge parts that attach to the roof too.

I know where there is a top half like the one shown above, i will measure up mine tomorrow and see if it is suitable for a 90/110

Here's a pic of my s 1 tailgate same as the one i know of, apparently they are very hard to come by..... Was an article in LRO about it......

Series 1 door won't fit a 90 or 110 as the roof line is completely different, Series 2 or 3 part will fit though.

I found mine 2 months ago complete with brackets,should get hold of it one of these days...

Much easier (and cheaper) to go Nige's way and cut the SW door though.
