gruntus
Hi Gents, First off this one is on topic! Ok the longest engine build in history is moving forward.... I took the oil spray jets off the bottom of the cylinders to let me hone the bores. On replacement I went to replace the large and small washers for the spray bolt only to see the small washer is too small to fit. On closer inspection I can see that the original washers are both copper "crush" washers. I was a bit surprised not to have correct quality replacement parts as the bottom end set is a good quality Elring set from BeerMat. So......... Can anyone beat Ralph to the mark and find the part numbers for both of the crush washers? (Sorry Ralph its all take and no give) Thanks in advance. gruntus
Gents, As a quick update I recieved the parts from the LR dealership (using the numbers listed above) and the washers are indeed crush washers. Those in the bottom end gasket set I receeved are just plain copper washers. On the down side I managed to shear one of the oil jet bolts whilst torquing up New low value torque wrench and oil jet bolts ordered........
