expat69
my 3bolt flange rear diff has blown up... If I put any 24sp diff with a 4 bolt flange, what propshsaft can I use ? (disco 200 ? RR? else?) I have a disco 300tdi auto ?
BogMonster
Buy a 4 bolt 24 spline diff and swap the flange over, or are you looking to swap the prop to get rid of the donut? The flanges are a straight swap if you have a similar aged diff. Later D1 V8s had a proper UJ propshaft on the back so one of those would be best. muddy_muppet
You can use a standard D1 200tDi prop (plenty about 2nd hand + a set of u/j's).
BogMonster
all of them ? Mk1 and Mk2 ? auto and manual box? They are thin on the ground here but I know a 1997 model year 3.9 auto that definitely had 2 UJ's on the back shaft from the factory. iceshj
When I swapped mine to a 24 spline, I used a RR prop. Cheap and easy to get hold of. Regards Dave
