Battery retention ideas

Recommended Posts

I'm also in the process of fitting a dual battery system for camping purposes mainly.

I saw this on the web and wanted to re-create it as it would be ideal, except with numax batteries.

Apparently it's in a standard defender battery box, however I can't get the measurements to add up?

I saw a similar picture in LRO with a pair of Odyssey PC2150's (I think) and I could not get that to add up either. I have one PC2150 in alongside a much smaller lead/acid. There is plenty more room, but height seems to be the problem if I want to put in a second PC2150.

2 x Odyssey PC1700 sitedlongways in my battery box, each has a alloy retainer strap covered in heatshrink & a threadedrod upright at each end,in the standard box, bit tight at the rear with the cover panel but it all fitswell.

PC2150 is the same width and length as the PC1700, give or take a little, but is 2 inches higher. Looks like a PC1700 will be my next engine battery then. Thanks
