Geek
Hi I've got a Discovery 2 Land Rover, and just had ring for Roadside Recovery. My ignition doesn't work, and I have to start it with a screw driver, thanks to a nice helpful AA man. Does anyone know how much this will cost to replace and what is needed. My son asks if you have to buy genuine parts or can they be patten, and how easy is it to fix Thanks Dawn
FridgeFreezer
Can you expand a bit on "doesn't work", how you are starting it with a screwdriver, and also about your vehicle - petrol, diesel, year?

BogMonster
Sounds like the barrel has just jammed up. A lot of WD40 and a modest amount of brute force might fix it but I expect the AA man might have already tried that!
