Ex-Pat Disco
I have a 96 Discovery, and I just installed a CB radio. I installed the radio through the aux power from the fuse box, but suddenly I've been plagued with a few electrical problems. I've lost my power locks, and the SRS light on the dash is on. The fuses are ok, and I can't figure out why I've got these problems.
Richard Mills
Hi There, I also have the srs light on... mine was caused by letting the battery go flat ( left the ignition on overnight). The book says it will reset after disconnecting the battery for half an hour. But mine did not. Before you try the battery off trick, just make sure you have the radio code! I am interested in seeing what the real problem is.
BogMonster
The SRS light will not normally reset without a Testbook to clear the code. Perhaps the RF output from the CB is causing problems with some of the electrickery? A transceiver should normally be installed to the battery or the engine bay fusebox. dooroy
My brother has a 96 300 Tdi and a few months back he had a hands free kit installed . The SRS light has been on since . A few guys with various machines tried to sort it but it would seem that only the main dlr can do it .
