If the parts come from one car only, then yes, the body is only 1 point on the point calculation. Perhaps you need to provide us more info on what the bits are and how they have been modified. If the chassis is standard you may get away with the original plate. If it has been modified such as cutting off the overhang but could be something as simple as moving an engine or body mount outrigger, then you will need a new chassis number (from DVLA) and will then get an age related plate if you can demonstrate that a number of items came from the one donor. An age related can be changed later for a cherished plate. If most of the bits come from different places then a Q will be issued. From DVLA web site.... Scoring components The following values will be allocated to the major components used: chassis or body shell (body and chassis as one unit - monocoque ie direct replacement from the manufacturer) (original or new) = 5 points suspension = 2 points axles = 2 points transmission = 2 points steering assembly = 2 points engine = 1 point Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
