ChrisW70
SH Proposed Permanent TRO Action needed now. Has this been covered - if so apologies? http://www.bdcc.co.uk/XMarksTheSpot.htm?g=...;t=SN7843400039 See http://www.riderz.co.uk/pics/neath_tro.pdf for the CCs letter. http://www.vdsr.co.uk/forums/index.php?top...msg9386#msg9386 for details and map. A long BOAT indeed! m.stevenson@neath-porttalbot.gov.uk Suggested type of letter:- The Principal Countryside Access Officer The Quays Brunel Way Baglan Energy Park Neath SA11 2GG YOUR NAME YOUR STREET YOUR TOWN YOUR CITY/COUNTY YOUR POSTCODE With reference to: Neath Port Talbot Byways 21,22,23 and 39 Neath Higher (Sarn Helen) Seasonal Prohibition of Driving Order 2008 TODAYS DATE Dear Sir I am writing to object most strongly to Schedule 2 of the above named proposed traffic regulation order (TRO). The reasons given for this proposed TRO are unfounded and will far from "improve the amenity", in fact it will reduce the public amenity even further, there is no evidence of further potential or existing damage to the surface of any of these byways, most of which are graveled fire/forrestry roads and those that are not are bedrock, further more I believe that as the majority of users of these rights of way are mechanised vehicle users then further reducing the availability to these users can only reduce the amenity. Yours YOUR NAME HERE Letters need to be at their destination by 1st October - sorry for short notice, only just been notified on this one. Guest diesel_jim
Done, and got a reply from them too: Dear Mr AustinI acknowledge receipt of your e-mail regarding the proposed TRO for Sarn Heln. I have forwarded it on to Mr Jon Griffiths, Countryside Officer, who is dealing with this matter. Yours sincerely Mrs M Stevenson Legal & Democratic Services
Orgasmic Farmer
Just for clarication it would appear that the TRO order in question is aimed at adding a week of closure to the end of the existing Seasonal TRO. So instead of being open from 1st if June to end of August it will now be only open from the 1st June to the 22nd of August. An erosion of rights but not a permenant closure
landrover598
but not a permenant closure That's coming after next year opening, as the land owner (Walters) will be closing them and the council will side with them Shame
