Rear wheel arch repair

Hi,

I need to do some repairs to the rear inner wings where they meet the wheel arches and the base of C pillars. Anyone know what thikness steel to use for making up repair pieces?

Just want to know so I can obtain some steel before I pull off the outer wings and hack the bad stuff out to see the thickness of the original. I'm guessing about 1.2mm

Its a 1989 3.5 Classic

Thanks

Mike

Hi again,

Thanks for doing the measuring ThreeSheds, based on that and what the others say I'll go for 1.5 - 1.6 mm.

Must have a walk over to maintenance dept this after noon and and casually mention I need some to weld up my RR. For some reason whenever I do that the steel fairy leaves some under my desk overnight ;)

Thanks

Mike
