MikeAK Posted October 1, 2008 Share Posted October 1, 2008 Hi, I need to do some repairs to the rear inner wings where they meet the wheel arches and the base of C pillars. Anyone know what thikness steel to use for making up repair pieces? Just want to know so I can obtain some steel before I pull off the outer wings and hack the bad stuff out to see the thickness of the original. Bowie69 Posted October 2, 2008 Share Posted October 2, 2008 I tend to use 2mm in most body patches, and most repair panels you buy are ~2mm, as said above it will last longer, and more forgiving when you are trying to weld it all together! Must have a walk over to maintenance dept this after noon and and casually mention I need some to weld up my RR.
