BogMonster
255/55R18 Grabber AT2 would be the standard equivalent, there is also a 255/60R18 version that is intended for the D3 but should also fit and would be a bit taller. I don't think you would find much else in 18in to fit, the AT2s are available in 2 wider sizes if you look here http://www.4site4x4.co.uk/tyre-details.aspx?id=6 but I have my doubts if they would fit on a D2 without surgery! Orange
Agree with Boggie! Anything wider than 255 will need the already large turning circle increased, or the arches widening and bigger offset wheels. Mine runs quite happily on it's General Grabber AT2s - 255/55R18. stonie110
i ended up fitting 19 rangie wheels and 255/55/19 pirelli at tyres which worked well at tixover last weekend cheers
nicks90
fitting 18 or 19" wheels will mean you have lower profile tyres and a slightly more harsh ride though. i'd stick with 16", as its a nicer ride and you get a bigger choice of rubber! BogMonster
The book says 28psi front 38psi rear for all factory tyre sizes.
stonie110
cheers. everwhere i look it tells me different pressures. i will try those. cheers again
BogMonster
Those pressure come from the workshop manual so are the "proper" ones There is an addendum for post 03 vehicles saying 30psi for the front - don't know why. The reality is that it depends on all sorts of factors like speed, load, surface etc etc. We have low road speed limits here and rough gravel roads and because of that I run mine at about 25 front 30 rear at the moment to improve ride comfort, but that wouldn't be any good at motorway speeds.
