A-Frame Ball Joint

Recommended Posts

30mm was the size of mine I removed off a 1986 90 and it was also the size of the new one from paddocks.

You really do need the spanner to do that job, I found focus selling a pack of 30/32/34/36/38 mm spanners for £15.

You can't get a an adjustable on it, you can't get a socket on it. so you probably need to buy the spanner before starting the job. As I found out... .

Thanks fellas, 30mm it is then. ;)

I've replaced the balljoint before, but I used a borrowed socket set to do it. My sockets stop at 27mm. I'm not replacing the balljoint this time, but removing the entire rear axle housing, and the balljoint seems to be the best place to split it.

Paul :)
