jules Posted February 1, 2006 Share Posted February 1, 2006 If you do a swap with a Auto 300tdi (engine and box) you may find the looms will plug into each other making the job so much easyer. Don't know about engin mounts in the disco but you may find the wireing not that hard. but for the price of a 300tdi is it not work selling the V8 and buying a tdi one. jules Posted February 1, 2006 Share Posted February 1, 2006 I did meen swaping the engine and the box I would talk to Ashcroft to see if the settings are diffrant which I would assum that they are. jules Posted February 2, 2006 Share Posted February 2, 2006 I have checked and on the later modle's the toqure converter is the diffrance otherwise the Auto box is the same I would still check with a auto box expert. Mark90 Posted February 2, 2006 Share Posted February 2, 2006 300tdi and V8 would need different bell housings and the shift points in tdi and V8 ZF boxes are different.
