bishbosh
For upmarket tube like CDS and T45 you will need a propper bender. A push bender will be fine with high quality dies for blueband. I have an H3PR from Tubela that works fine with blueband. I have seen very good results with CDS and A JD2 bender (JD squared) . Funnily enough, Tubela sell them! bluespanner
I f i was going to try to bend exhaust with one of those cheap hydraulic ones from Northern Industrial, would I have to pack the pipe with sand first? are these types any good? bishbosh
I personally have never tried thin wall pipe in a cheapy bender, but plenty on here have and say it is a waste of time. The cheapy ones only really work for thick walled pipe like red band and blue band. Even then you have to be careful to get a decent bend without ripples. roguevogue
I f i was going to try to bend exhaust with one of those cheap hydraulic ones from Northern Industrial, would I have to pack the pipe with sand first? are these types any good? I have tried this with a tubela push bender, it didn't work. The push benders are fine on blueband (3mm wall), I used the Tubela to build my RR. The cheaper ones have, in my experience, ill fitting tooling therefore it is hard to get a good result. You get what you pay for. If I was you I would spend the money on a used Tubela, Staffa or Hilmor push bender from eBay rather than a cheap [low quality] one. Or buy one of these.
