Classic - Rear Winch

stuck

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I'm a newbie to this excellent forum and have a question.

I'm currently building my second bob tail RR but this time I want to fit a rear winch as well as the front one, is this possible on a RRC?

I've searched this forum and google but can only find Defender items.

If it matters the RR in question is an '88 Vogue SE V8.

Thanks in advance,

Mick.

If your bobtailing then when you remake the rear of the chassis its not too difficult to make it into a winch mount, I know a couple of people that did this. The winch goes where the fuel tank used to be and sits just in front of the rear body cross member. I don't have any pictures of either though.

Thanks very much for the answers Gents!

Don't know why but that link doesn't want to work for me, any chance you could pm me a couple of piccies?

Many thanks,

Mick.

It's because the link is to an area of the forum you won't be able to access until you've made a few more posts :)

Here is how my mate solved it on his boobed rangy

Can get you more detailed photo, the tailgate still fully water tight and winch very accessible.

Thanks Defcol,

That looks a tidy job!

A more detailed picture would be greatly appreciated.

Mick.
