bishbosh
Does anyone happen to have a former for a push bender that is suitable for 1 3/4" OD tube? I need to put some very gentle bends into some CDS, something along the lines of 15 degrees I would estimate. I have formers for pipe that are all ID so no good for my CDS tube. Anyone got one I can borrow / rent for a weekend? Pretty please...?

Les Henson
1 3/4" inches is 44mm. I've got one - Sealey former. Profile pic- Les.
bishbosh
Les, Are you sure the former is 44mm across the top? All the Sealy ones I have come across are marked for the pipe's nominal bore - i.e. ID not OD....... Thanks

Les Henson
I measured across the top of the former Bish. On the side of it it says '1 3/4" ' Les.
bishbosh
Les, So your former is for tube then? How bizzare! All the push bender formers I have seen that are stamped 1 3/4" are for the internal diameter so the external diameter is obviously bigger...... I have a 1 3/4" ID former in the garage... : Jase, is your former 1 3/4 OD or ID as you are a tad nearer than Les.......
