renault4
I have a 1991 def. 90 Tdi with a leaking steering box. It is a six bolt jobby but I have been told that originally it would have been a 4 bolt. I have noticed that 4 bolters are more thick on the ground that 6-ers, my question is, what should be there and can I replace my 6-er with a 4-er? western
depends on what LR fitted from new, my '89 has a 6 bolt Gemmer PAS box, had no problems with it. might have to change hoses/pipes if end fitting threads are different
JST
if you change the bolt no on the box you will probably need to change the pipes too, some unions are different. i believe 4 bolt are the strongest LR ones anyway
