GBMUD
I had my motor insurance renewal quote yesterday morning and almost fell over. I insure both my cars together, a LR110 and an old MX5, through the NFU. Last year the combined premium was £800ish, a hell of a lot but I did have 2 accidents in the year so it was understandable. This year, despite having no more crashes and therefore getting back to 60% NCD on the Defender (still 65% on the Mazda) it came through at £990 for the two! Anyway, some negotiation has made it go down a little but it is still a lot. Adrian Flux and eCar were both very substantially dearer. So, I will be renewing with the NFU, but has anyone else's insurance premium leapt up for no apparent reason? IIRC I did hear something on the news months ago suggesting that they might rise. HoggyN
For my road car, yes. I ended up using on those online price comparison sites. I got the identical cover for nearly half my renewal quote. From the the same company!!!
