ROGUE TROOPER
Got a shrunken hood? Just changed the Truckcab to full tilt and the poor old tilt has shrunk more that last year, so I have an inch gap between the tailgate and bottom of the tilts back. What to do...........MMMM could buy a new one.......but had an idea......... Remove the rear hoop and grind out the lip so the hoop can drop further in, hence the hood fits!! Will it work? jjojjas
Did I read somewhere that sometimes if you wet the hood you can stretch the canvas again??? I'm sure this was on another thread somewhere either here or on LRO. Jas
LR90
Hillbilly Raider might know. Think he soaked his and strapped it down with rachet straps to stretch it. But I could be wrong

edwardatherton
Just tie it down tightly all round and soak it for a day or two. It should go back to normal!

Will it work? probalby but not very well; what about the sides then? and if you ever buy a replacement, then the new hood will be too big. what about giving it a good soak and stretching it? you sure you have not got in on too tight at the front? (BTW that is a lot of shrinkage! )
Hillbilly Raider
(BTW that is a lot of shrinkage! ) Stringy has always had that problem (i blame the army and a cold lake at Monworth hes never been the same since!! ) but seriously every time we have heavy rain followed by a dry spell we have to streach it back (the canvas that is!)
