Rolly Posted July 10, 2009 Share Posted July 10, 2009 Got a friend who imports this stuff in from the states (Amsoils) so I can get it at a reasonable price. It's supposed to make the engine & transmission run cooler with less friction and give a longer life between changes and even have a small but positive influence on fuel economy & power. I just replied on another thread about the salisbury diff getting hot - the use of a fully synthetic oil made a significant difference to the temp of the diff. Full synthetic oil also made a big difference to the noise level from the transfer case. I currently use Castrol SAF-XA 75w140 in front and rear axles, swivels and transfer case. Castrol Syntrans (not syntrax) 75w85 in the gearbox and Caltex Delo 400 in the engine. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
