Driving on 3 cylinders

Depends what engine you have got and what the injector problem is. If it is a Tdi engine and the injector is hosing in great gobs of fuel then chances are you will melt a hole in the piston some way before you get around to fixing it so it will be rather expensive not to.

Changing an injector is not a major job if it is a Tdi.

That was a Landrover Dealer in Dublin, who, by the way, refuses to do any repairs on any Defenders which have not been bought there.

I don't bother anyway buying anything there.

I will get a rental car for the business trips before I burn the cylinder.

The second trip is on Friday, so I will be able to replace the injectors Thursday evening.

(Hopefully)

Thanks guys.

Flatback and Turbo,

Thank you both very much for your offer!!

Great forum.

I have already ordered at Paddocks and they should be here for Thursday.

I'll take a rental car for the trip tomorrow.

Very good to know that there are mates out there who one can rely on if in trouble!

White,

How far did you get befor you melted your piston?
