Cedo Nulli Posted December 19, 2009 Share Posted December 19, 2009 1991 90 200tdi with a 6 bolt box fitted.. I can confirm this. Have a 1991 110 200Tdi and changed the 6 bolt for a 4 bolt. renault4 Posted December 20, 2009 Share Posted December 20, 2009 did my 200 Tdi recently, no probs, you will find the two pipes going into the 'box have different size fittings but they are roughly in the right place so refitting them is obvious. renault4 Posted December 20, 2009 Share Posted December 20, 2009 just remembered, when I replaced my steerig box, I had to remove my steering colum, the manual said "reMove the bolts and slide off the universal joints" I didn't do this, I just slackened then, but then I couldn't get them off!, after a long swearing session, I took the bolts out and the universal joints slid off it was then that I saw that the splined ends of the joints had a groove in them to accomodate the bolts and they had to be removed to remove the joint. suggs Posted December 20, 2009 Author Share Posted December 20, 2009 we did it yesterday and was a straight swap with no problems, its more of a 2 man job really as makes it better to hold the box in place and getting the bolt's in.. still feels a bit stiff but much better, think its the standard radius arms that arnt helping with a big lift and 35 inch tyres i need to get some corrected ones asap now...
