PoguesTD5
Hi Guys, I've recently bought my D2 TD5 and its losing coolant, are there any common areas for failing and causing leaks. I looked under neath and I could see cooloant drips on the passenger side near to the front (if it helps) Any help would be great. Cheers Pogo
BogMonster
Radiator by the sound of it - it is an alloy rad matrix crimped into plastic end tanks and they go around the crimp joint, quite a common fault. Should be able to see pink staining around the edges of the rad if so.
MartinK
I also had a core plug weeping. It's very hard to get at (under the manifold)...so I used some "radweld"-type stuff, and it's been ok since! That was 80,000 miles ago. If the manifold ever comes off for any other reason, I'll fix the core plug, but until then...
Jimbo-TD5
mine was leaking from the fuel cooler on the left hand side, some rad weld type stuff sorted it out! The left engine mount was covered in the stuff!
