wadey
Hi , recently uprated suspension to a britpart HD normal ride height set of springs and shocks, Happy with it as it lifted the car by around 40mm, wether that was bcause the old setup was tired or not i dont know , anyway the ride is much better now but being a builder i do tend to carry a lot around with me , and finding the rear end could prob do with a bit more strength, its a bit bouncy when under load , I was hoping a differnt set of shocks on the rear would do the trick??, any suggestions , cant go to a lot of expense as there are many other things i need to do to the car , cheers Wade
landroversforever
If it is bouncy, then get a better set of dampers.

crispyme
Im Running Bearmach +2" HD springs and Toughback dampers to suit all round. The set up is a bit hard for a comfy relaxed drive, but good for hooning it around corners and softens up nicely when loaded up. Its a good set up for me as I do a lot of the latter two. Dangerous D
Hi, I had bearmach HD springs on my disco and after a couple of months they collapsed. I replaced them with Terrafirma HD 2" on the rear and Medium duty on the front, with the matching shocks, and the ride is great now. Vehicle sits nice and level and handles well on and off road - I can even throw it into corners at silly speeds and the body roll is signifcantly reduced. Worth doing poly bushes at the same time - but not essential. Dave
wadey
Its not a lift kit i have fitted , is it better to stick with normal shocks , coz i thought i read a thread somewhere that a set of +2 shocks were used to improve the HD Springs??? Anderzander
Longer shocks wouldn't be needed with you having standard length springs - longer shocks are used just to give more travel. However firmer shocks would eliminate more bounce. I'm not familiar with Britpart shocks but it sounds like they are too soft for you....
