Jurriaan
Not shown in my parts book, which is too old to show this Td5 part. Found a picture on Marslands site: What's the part number on this one?
heath robinson
I'm not sure that that isn't a part unique to Marslands, as I've never seen it anywhere else, on TD5's or otherwise. The TD5 rear crossmember on the back of my dad's has the welded tags like all the older types.
western
Must be a Marsland part, can't find a similar part in Microcat, just shows the rear cross members with the tags welded in place.
iceshj
On the back of my TD5 chassis, mine is similar to the picture but rather than having individual tabs like that, mine is almost like a piece of angle bar with holes deilled and welded nuts fitted. Jurriaan
Must be a Marsland part, can't find a similar part in Microcat, just shows the rear cross members with the tags welded in place. Bought a Genuine Td5 chassis from a Land Rover dealer which had it on, so it should be a Land Rover part also. Seen it on later Td5 models and Pumas also. Just the thing I need another one for my other project...

western
I'll hazaed a guess & say the 1A chassis was the last Td5 & the 2A is the newest Ford engined model.

Ferrett
My 2001MY has the same setup with the adjustable mounting rail. I am also after a part number for the rear crossmember. I would like a genuine crossmember without extensions for a 2001MY TD5 Defender 90. Can anyone help?
Retroanaconda
VIN 2A627496 was the start of the 2002 model year I believe. The '2' signifying a build year of 2002.
