Igol
I've managed to shear a rear wheel nut stud when I was swapping tyres. I'm assuming that it wont be a simple (cheap) case of replacing the stud and fitting a new one and I'll need a full hub as well as a wheel nut (the gods will make sure that it costs more in broken stud extractors than a new nut ever would). So far Googling 'rear wheel hubs' has given me a lot of wheel bearings but not the bit I want, should I be looking for some weird name other than hub like wheel retaining plate? Or if anyones got the part number Discos a 97 300tdi. Thanks
disco_al
stud should hammer out as IIRC they are a spline fit into the hub.
steve b
The studs are splined into the hub , you will have to remove hub+disc then take the disc off to fit the new one though Cheers Steveb
Les Henson
Wheel stud is part No FRC5926. Knock the old one out, then pull the new one in using one of the wheel nuts. Les.
bobtail4x4
if you have any thread left to screw an old nut on, hit the nut, it saves spreading the stud end.

A cheap fix, til something else breaks at least. Its a very neat shear so it will be a big hammer after all and a drift
