Anglo-Frenchman
One of my air-con fans (RTC7424) has gone west. I see on Craddock's site that they're over £150 which seems ever such a lot of dosh for a little electric motor with a plastic fan on the end. Does anyone know of a cheaper supplier? Anglo-Frenchman
Well, Ok then so no pearls of wisdom on that count, but does anyone know if any of the Range Rover fans are compatable with the Defender aircon system as I've noticed pair of fans for a P38 on Ebeg which are a lot cheaper than Haddock's. Turbocharger
Are you SURE it's not working? I seem to remember only one went round on my Disco most of the time, maybe you need high ambient temperatures to make both whirl about. I'd say it's worth checking that it's receiving voltage before you shell out your hard-earned.
Anglo-Frenchman
Yeah, tried swapping them over but still no joy and definately current on the supply. The dud one seems a bit gritty when you spin it so maybe bearings knack'd or something.

Checked EPC, it only shows RTC7424 for 90/110/Defender, RR1 & 2 & Disco parts are completely different
Anglo-Frenchman
Cheers Ralph. It seems that I'm up sh*t creek then. Bob can get a fan for about £125 but it still seems a lot (at his own admission!). I'll trawl about of Eblag and see what turns up.
western
Try one of the LR breakers that advertise in the mags or I just found these on a web search, as you know exactly the bit you want it shouldn't be to difficult. http://www.equicar.co.uk/range-rover-breakers.htm http://www.a1landroverbreakers.co.uk/ http://www.landrover-spare.co.uk/ http://4x4cws.co.uk/land-rover-breakers.htm

montyjn
Anglo-Frenchman, Appreciate I am digging up a very old thread, but did you ever sort the issue? I have exactly the same problem. Did you fit the later fan in the end? Cheers
