For me new engine - Part Nos req :O)

Recommended Posts

Big Ends, Mains and Rods - all need to be replaced, although

there is virtually no real wear, and the journals are std.

I have some part No's,

could some kind soul tell me what they are off LR or Engine wise / age etc

They look like vandervell (VP) in a circle -

Con Rods : ERC2587 one end - 5051 KF the other

Mains and Big Ends etc

ERR1762 std and also 'G' in a box and CD

ERR1765 and then VP HD 7300 other end

As its a serp engine I'm guessing these may be late std 4.6 Parts ? (Fingers crossed) and not £Exo£tic£ ?

??

Also all the Main Bolts washers and cross bolts for the block and washers are missing :(

Can you advise of the 10x Mains parts, and criossbolt parts for a 4.6 block and if the same as a serp 3.9 Block (Think they are)

A pic of parts would be good too if my luck hasn't pushed whoever (prob Ralphy  ) Too far :D

:)

Nige

Con Rods : ERC2587 one end superseded by RTC2117

5051 KF the other not recognised, not a LR part number.

Mains and Big Ends etc both not recognised in microcat or on a search of Craddocks/LRSeries/Google websites

ERR1762 std and also 'G' in a box and CD

ERR1765 and then VP HD 7300 other end

main bearing set standard size for a 4.6 V8 is STC4299 add 010 or 020 to the end for 10 or 20 thou undersize bearings.

ERR1772 con rod bolts x 16

602130 main cap bolts qty 10

FB110137 M10 x 65mm qty 8, washer ERR3330 qty 8. [not knowing V8 intimatly like you do, I think these are the cross bolts & washers, see diagram below]
