Changing rear Prop

Hi all, I own a '94 300tdi disco and fed up with replacing the rear prop doughnuts, so with the advice from a close friend was gonna change the prop for the older 200/rrc type with uj's at each end. However, after sourcing a diff flange and prop from a rrc went to exchange them over, only to find disco has 24 splines on the flange and rrc has 4. Its been suggested that I swap the Pinion and Crown from the rrc diff into mine. Main question is, Are the ratios the same or will this lead to other internals needing to be transfered.

yep will be the same but why not just get a 24 spline flange, FRC3002 and from looking at the kam website its 22 quid would save a bit of time... ;)
