wack61
My 110 Hi cap has the rubber arch extensions on the front which I believe are a factory fit, I'd like them on the back but the arch looks huge, do they make them to fit the back as I can't find any for sale in the usual places
western
only ever factory fitted to the front, because the rear body is wide enough to cover the rear tyre/wheel, so not needed on the back, although hi-caps that do have rear flares have been fitted by owners probably using 110 rear flares, as they don't form part of the inner wheel arch like the front ones do. wack61
OK thanks, so the actual arch is the same shape as a standard 110 truck body, I only want them as the body sits quite high so there's a massive gap between the wheel and bodywork, I thought adding the same rubber arches would tidy it up a bit
western
don't forget that once loaded the springs will compress & therefore the rear will sit lower.
muddy
You can just use any standard defender rear arch spat. Guy in this months lro reckons to have made some fancy joiner do dahs but in reality all you need is some self drilling roofing bolts Something like this, just offer the arch up use a 4mmish drill for some pilot holes and then put the selfdrillers in, the body is double skinned around this point so they dont protrude into the load bay. Easy peasy job took me about 5mins a side, trimming can be done with a 1mm slitting disc in an angle grinder if you so wish. Will.

You could use self tapping screws, like the chap in the article, but they will cause electrolytic corrosion - don't forget how much mud and water those sections are exposed to. The better way of fixing would be the original way - drill the holes and use the plastic rivets.
wack61
Ok Thanks I can't have been looking hard enough, the arches just looked longer than standard
