darryloh
Hi, has anybody fitted 205 r16 tyres onto 8"x 16" modular wheels? What do they look like, any pics? Have the modulars and loads of skinny tyres, but no 255/265/275 tyres. Cheers
Disco-Ron
The wheel will be too wide, i have 235's on a 7 inch rim, and even thpose on an 8 would be a bit wrong, although they would fit. the 205's being 'lower' would also make it very difficulrt to get the beads out on the wheels.... Snagger
I bought some 7" wheels with 205s fitted and the tyres were struggling with that - I don't think it was entirely safe and it looked ridiculous. On 8" rims, it would be very dodgy.

BogMonster
As above - we had a set to put on 7" rims at work once and that was nigh on impossible - 8" would be impossible to get on, would look awful and probably be dangerous as well. For an 8" rim I wouldn't look at anything less than 265 section.

My tyre fitter never had problems when i changed tyres.
