  1. I've just checked and that is a new website, so presumably was just down for a couple of days while they changed websites over. Thanks for looking though. Martin
  2. The disc brake conversion is for a 101 forward control and they're the only company that do it. As they also do disc brake conversions for series Land Rovers I asked on here as there was a chance someone had bought from them.
  3. Thats a company with the same name but up in Scotland, I'll have to keep searching. Thanks for looking.
  4. I rang them a couple of weeks ago about a disc brake conversion after getting their number of their website. Trying to get hold of them to order and their websit has been down for over a week and I can't find the number anywhere..
  5. Needs a new main beam stalk happened on my 200tdi one. Exact same symptoms, only very slightly melted multiplug. But new stalk and all worked fine again.
  6. Why not move the rear axle back with longer trailing arms? would solve the prop issue.
  7. Mail order 4x4 are good for supplying Bearmach parts, I've used them a few times and a friend has had Bearmach td rad from them and had no problems with it. 200tdi http://www.mailorder4x4.com/4x4/products_detail.php?ProductID=9927 300tdi http://www.mailorder4x4.com/4x4/products_list.php?Category=Defender/Defender%20110/Cooling/Radiators/All%202.5L%20300%20TDi%20diesel%20engine%20models&ProductName=Radiator%20and%20Oil%20Cooler,%20Std%20material,%20not%20incl%20intercooler,%20All%202.5L%20300%20TDi%20diesel%20engine%20models Martin
  8. My 110 was factory fitted with PTO winch and HD front springs, mine are probably a litle tired now. But I wouldn't say the ride was much if any worse than std and better than most aftermarket "HD" springs. Atriculates pretty well as well.
  9. Usually LRSeries or MailOrder4x4, have used a LRDirect a few times as well and like the choice they give with parts, very happy with all three. Stopped using paddocks when they kept sending orders out wrong and tried to blame me, even though the parts they sent didn't match what was ordered on the invoice. Only used Devon 4x4 once and the service was so bad they won't ever get my money again!
  10. You missed my suggestion of the Rover T-series used in the discovery mpi.
  11. Just to be different I'll say 2.0 mpi from a discovery, or the turbo version from a rover vittese or 620ti if you fancy 200bhp that fits a lot easier than a v8.
  12. Would be easier to use a defender 200tdi engine as the turbo is in the same position as the 19j TD.
  13. Is the timing spot on? a friends used to be close to stalling when the revs dropped to tick over, but rarely actually stalled. Problem was gone when the belt was changed and timing set.
  14. Or having to chisel apart a gearbox and transferbox as someone sealed them together? As for viscous unit, mine is a Bearmach replacement and doing fine. I've found the lrdirect website one of the best for giving you the option to specify what grade of parts you want.
  15. Most of the stuff you got me from AMD last time was Britpart, they just cut off the blue sticker.
  16. Here's a pic without the disguise on, I'm not that keen, hoping it will look better in the metal. https://p.twimg.com/AyAYwQ4CEAAckpI.jpg:large
  17. If there is nothing wrong with your wheel's why change them, if you do i'd go for genuine 130/HD/wolf steel rims.
  18. any of the pre td5 90 tow bars will fit as the rear crossmember is the same.
  19. My mates 19J was fitted with an intercooler, it still cracked all 4 pistons and the pre combustion ports on the head.
  20. Having driven to morocco and back in a discovery with a detroit locker in the rear i wouldn't fit one to my own landy if it was free. affects the handling too much and the sound when it unlocks after being wound up makes you wince.
  21. If you can't feel the adjuster click round, the grooves on it are probably worn. Which means they can slowly in adjust themselves as mine do.
  22. It's bikefest there next weekend, I can't see that happening.
  23. Let's hope it dries up then, as the car show at billing this weekend has been cancelled as it's waterlogged.
  24. General Tire's load capacity data is wrong though. It isn't the same for all tyres of a specific size and you only gave them the original size of 7.50 - 16, not the load rating land rover recomend. As an example the current std factory fit 7.50 tyre is Michelin Lattitude Cross with a 112S load rating which is 1120kg per tyre x 2 =2240kg quite a bit more than the rear axle capacity. The std factory tyre for 130's and optional on 110's is The Michelin XZL which has a 116N load rating, which is 1250kg per tyre x 2 = 2500kg. So what load index are they using for they're calculations? As they haven't stated.
