TJ101
Does anyone know, who makes a stock 2nd alternator mount for the Serp type 3.9 V8 lump ?? Gwyn Lewis is meant to be starting doing them,, but all at the cutters at present,, Time does not dictate making one !!!
Bowie69
Looking at my serp V8, cn you not just use a couple of bits of angle iron bolted to the existing air con compressor mounting?

McS Junior
You overvolting the winches Tim? I only ask as there's loads of options for bigger alternators on the v8's that are more than upto the job if you're staying 12v... Ross
TJ101
Hi Ross Yep overvolt, with a 2nd 24V alternator,, In the middle of a forced engine change, from a Vee belt lump to the serp belts !!
Range Rover Blues
Serpentine is a better engine, better oil pump for one and more reliable alternator belt in my experience. If you are putting the alternator in place of a non-existant airconn pump you may well need a different belt and tensioner arm as per the airconn setup. Don't know if that comes in the kit.
