I've done a lot of them (Probably into the thousands as factory repairs) And buy yourself a decent ratchet 'T' tap holder NOT the spanner type (which are only any good for cleaning threads). elbekko Posted April 5, 2011 Author Share Posted April 5, 2011 I'm popping into a few shops later to see if they have anything (there's a Wurth store nearby apparently, may have the time-sert stuff, actually liking that more than the helicoil for this application), and if I can't find anything I'll order that (which is actually really expensive compared to the Amazon stuff). The ones I found locally were either 1-2 weeks wait or not in stock and strangely expensive (a kit they did have was €70 V-coil or something).
